A check of the available databases showed that the 35-year-old resident of Zgorzelec County was subject to a court ban on driving motor vehicles and, by a decision of the Starosta, had also had his driving privileges revoked.
A check of the two-wheeler in the Police database confirmed that it had been stolen in Germany and that the registration plates were assigned to a completely different vehicle.
However, this was not the end of the man's problems. The district officers also established that the 35-year-old was wanted to serve a 303-day prison sentence for offences previously committed. On this basis, the man was taken to detention, while the two-wheeler was impounded in the police parking lot.
The 35-year-old will now face court for the offences committed. He may face up to 5 years in prison.
