As we reported earlier, a tragic road accident occurred today at around 1:00 p.m. on the A4 motorway, in the area of the Godziszów interchange (in the direction of the border with Germany).
As a result of a collision between two passenger cars, one person died and two others were taken to hospitals. The motorway is blocked in both directions.

Traffic on the A4 motorway has been restored.
A spokesperson for the Bolesławiec police on the tragic incident:
The 32-year-old woman driving a Peugeot lost control of the vehicle while overtaking a Renault and hit the crash barriers. The Peugeot was then hit by a Mercedes.
The Peugeot was carrying three Czech citizens. One of them, a 49-year-old male passenger, died as a result of the incident.
The Peugeot driver was taken to the hospital in Zgorzelec, while the passenger of that car was taken to the hospital in Bolesławiec.
The drivers of both vehicles were sober.
