On the social media profile of the head of Warta Bolesławiecka Municipality, we read:
(...) from 1 July 2024, the frequency of collecting certain municipal waste will be increased. At the Wójt’s request, the Warta Bolesławiecka Municipal Council decided to increase the collection frequency at its session on 21 May 2024, responding to the demand reported by residents.
Head of the municipal government:
Increasing the frequency of municipal waste collection by two paper collections and three collections of metals and plastics per year entails additional costs which, in accordance with the principle laid down in applicable law that the municipal waste management system should be self-financing, should be covered by the waste management fees paid by Residents.
But then he adds:
After a thorough analysis of the budget’s financial capacity and the budget surplus accumulated over recent years, the Wójt of the Municipality nevertheless proposed that the Municipal Council allocate part of it to cover some of the costs of municipal waste management and maintain the fees paid by Residents for the collection and management of municipal waste at their current level, that is, PLN 28.00 per person per month if waste is collected and picked up separately. Owners of properties with detached houses who compost biodegradable waste in a home compost bin and do not have a container for biodegradable waste will continue to pay PLN 24.50 per person per month.
