Last Friday, the duty officer at the Zgorzelec district police headquarters received information about an incident in which a BMW was reported to have left the road and overturned. – Traffic police officers from the Zgorzelec unit were sent to the scene. The officers determined that the vehicle was being driven by a resident of Lubań County who was intoxicated. The 38-year-old had nearly 1.5 per mille of alcohol in her system! – reports junior inspector Przemysław Ratajczyk from the Press Section of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship Police Headquarters in Wrocław. – Even worse, the woman was travelling with her one-year-old child! Fortunately, no one suffered any serious injuries in the incident.
However, this was not the end of the story. The spokesperson said: – The child’s father arrived at the scene to take care of the child. When the parents of the one-year-old were checked in police systems, it turned out that both the woman and the 43-year-old man were wanted.
The extremely irresponsible 38-year-old now faces up to three years in prison.
