Paweł Gancarz, representing the Third Way – PSL sejmik club, received 28 votes of support from Lower Silesian councillors and will thus take the helm of our voivodeship. The new marshal announced that he would cooperate with all groups wishing to continue the dynamic development of Lower Silesia, regardless of their political affiliation.
- Thank you very much to the councillors for the trust they have placed in me. I declare my commitment and dedication to Lower Silesia, as well as the continuation of projects important to residents, such as the construction of the New Oncology Hospital and infrastructure projects: roads and railways. Lower Silesia is a unique region; I have had the opportunity to see this many times. I promise that I will care for and develop this uniqueness. I kindly ask you, councillors, for fruitful cooperation – said the newly elected Marshal of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship, Paweł Gancarz, from the sejmik podium.
Cezary Przybylski also summarised his more than 10 years of work as Marshal of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship.Cezary Przybylski.
– During this time, we developed Lower Silesia together. We can proudly say that we are Lower Silesians, that we live in a beautiful and modern region open to imaginative people and innovative projects. I thank the Voivodeship Board, the Sejmik Councillors, the employees of the Marshal’s Office and local-government officials for their good, substantive cooperation over these years. This work will continue during the current term with Lower Silesians in mind. Marshal Cezary Przybylski congratulated the new Marshal of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship, Paweł Gancarz, on his election. – I am convinced that he will be a very good steward, caring for our beautiful Lower Silesia – said Marshal Cezary Przybylski.
Wojciech Bochnak of the Civic Coalition and Michał Rado of the Third Way – PSL club became Deputy Marshals of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship, with the support of 20 and 30 votes from the voivodeship councillors, respectively.
- Thank you to all the councillors who voted during today’s sejmik session. Those who know me know that I am approachable and someone with whom it is possible to reach an agreement on every matter important to the voivodeship’s local government. Because it is, after all, the most important – emphasised Wojciech Bochnak, Deputy Marshal of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship.
- I have been given an enormous vote of confidence and I assure you that I will do everything for the good of Lower Silesia. First and foremost, I thank Marshal Cezary Przybylski, thanks to whom I am here, Marshal Paweł Gancarz for the opportunity, and all the councillors for the votes they cast for me. Lower Silesian councillors also decided to elect members of the Board of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship. They are Jarosław Rabczenko of the Civic Coalition and Natalia Gołąb of the Third Way. They received 20 and 19 votes of support, respectively.
- Thank you very much for your trust. It is a great honour and privilege to serve the voivodeship as a board member. Above all, it is an honour to be a Lower Silesian. During the time entrusted to me on the board, I will do everything I can to continue developing our region – assured Jarosław Rabczenko, member of the Board of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship.
