The fire broke out on May 15 after 9:30 p.m. A building is burning beyond the railway crossing near the former fuel depot, opposite the PKP railway station.
Firefighters are already extinguishing the blaze. No casualties have been confirmed so far, although people were inside the building. The smoke is very heavy and reaches Wróblewskiego Street.

Update 10:02 p.m.
Firefighters are checking that no one remains inside the building. Interviews indicated that three people lived in the building.
Update 10:05 p.m.
The fire is being extinguished by six fire-service units, with more arriving. There are no casualties so far. A single-story building measuring approximately 24 m² is burning. The fire engulfed the entire structure. Kościuszki Street is impassable because firefighters are running a water hose across the road.
Update 10:14 p.m.
The burning building was an unoccupied property. Apparently, three people had been staying there. Two got out of the building and did not require medical assistance. The whereabouts of the third person are unknown. They may have left the building earlier, but firefighters have no contact with them.
Update 1:30 a.m.
The firefighting operation has ended. No one was found in the burned-out ruins.

Our GBA 409-17 and GCBA 409-19 units are currently operating at the fire of an unoccupied building.

- emergency medical team.
