The incident occurred on Tuesday, May 14. At approximately 6:00 a.m., firefighters were dispatched to extinguish a forest fire near Wierzbowa.
The danger was eliminated; fortunately, no one was hurt. Almost 1 hectare of forest undergrowth was burned. Operations lasted over 5 hours.
Firefighters from the following units took part in the operation:
- OSP Wierzbowa;
- OSP Różyniec;
- OSP Gromadka;
- OSP Trzebień;
- OSP Krzyżowa;
- PSP Bolesławiec (tanker), JRG commander.
