The song dedicated to Koleje Dolnośląskie was created as part of the Fryderyk Award-winning “Grajkowie Przyszłości” project, a large orchestra led by Czesław Mozil featuring children from music schools. The authorities of Koleje Dolnośląskie invited the renowned and acclaimed artist to collaborate. The result is a song entitled “The Railways of Human Fates”, which Mozil recorded with more than one hundred young artists from Lower Silesia at the Lower Silesian Philharmonic in Jelenia Góra.

– The “Grajkowie Przyszłości” project aims to show that Poland has a great deal of fantastic, talented young people who create music in small towns and community centres. We should be proud of them and showcase their work! – says Czesław Mozil. – I immediately liked the idea of a song about railways because I love travelling by this means of transport. And if you are going to record a song about railways, there is only one place to do it: Lower Silesia! – the artist adds.

The idea exceeded all expectations, resulting in a composition by the artist whose subject is Koleje Dolnośląskie. The music video was filmed aboard the regional carrier’s trains and in its service hall in Legnica. In it, the singer plays a railway enthusiast who works for Koleje Dolnośląskie and, after work, boards a train and sets off to meet young people in Jelenia Góra.

The screenplay and cinematography for the music video were handled by Mozil’s long-time collaborator, filmmaker Mateusz Winkiel, together with the team from Mania Studio.

“Grajkowie Przyszłości” is a far-reaching project created by Czesław Mozil in which children inspire children. In its new, Fryderyk Award-winning 2023 edition, entitled “Inwazja Nerdów Vol.1”, children and young people from nine Polish cities performed, numbering more than six hundred participants in total. Music videos were also produced for every song. The material is also a continuation of the album “Kiedyś to były Święta”, which won the 2020 Fryderyk Award from the Phonographic Academy in the “Children’s and Youth Music Album of the Year” category. And although it addresses topics other than Christmas, the project’s concept has remained the same: children and young people from music schools and music centres across the country accompany Czesław Mozil.

Will “The Railways of Human Fates” become a hit?

The new album is about passions and hobbies. It encourages young people to develop themselves and gives them the confidence to try things out in search of what brings them pleasure and the joy of being themselves.

– In the latest edition of the project, young people from Lower Silesia are taking part thanks to the involvement of our company. What is more, the song performed by Czesław Mozil and the orchestra has a railway and regional theme. It is an excellent promotion not only of the railway itself and our company, but also of Lower Silesia – says Damian Stawikowski, president of Koleje Dolnośląskie.

– We all know popular Polish songs about railways, such as “Jedzie pociąg z daleka” by Ryszard Rynkowski and “Remedium” by Maryla Rodowicz, which is also known as “Wsiąść do pociągu byle jakiego”. I hope that Czesław Mozil’s new song, “The Railways of Human Fates”, will become an equally well-known hit. I am very pleased with this collaboration and I think that all our passengers will enjoy this new railway song – says Bartłomiej Rodak, press spokesperson for Koleje Dolnośląskie.

The video premiered on 6 May this year at 12:00 on Czesław Mozil’s official online channels.
