– April 7, 2024, will go down in history as the day of the ninth free, democratic and independent local government elections in post-war Poland. On that day, the residents of Bolesławiec Municipality entrusted the exercise of the office of mayor and the councillor’s mandate to 15 of their representatives – said Grażyna Łucka, the senior councillor.
Bolesławiec Municipality on the first meeting of the new council:
After the national anthem was played and the guests attending the inaugural session were welcomed, Grażyna Łucka announced that, by a decision dated April 18, 2024, the Electoral Commissioner had declared the mandate of Mr Andrzej Janiec expired due to his election as Mayor of Bolesławiec Municipality. The Chairwoman of the Municipal Electoral Commission, Zofia Szajwaj, presented him with his certificate of election as Mayor.
The oath was then read out, and all the newly sworn-in councillors took the oath one by one. Thus, all councillors present at the session assumed their mandates.

The next item on the agenda was the election of the Chairman of the Bolesławiec Municipality Council, which was conducted by secret ballot. Łukasz Biegacz was elected. In the next vote, the Deputy Chairmen of the Bolesławiec Municipality Council were elected: Brygida Laudani and Marcin Bachór. The correctness of the vote was supervised by the Scrutiny Committee, consisting of Marcin Gil, Jolanta Deberna and Rafał Ilczyna.
The remainder of the first session was chaired by the Chairman of the Bolesławiec Municipality Council for its ninth term. The Mayor of Bolesławiec Municipality, Andrzej Janiec, took the oath, accepted congratulations and thanked the residents of the municipality for the trust they had placed in him.
