The incident occurred on Wednesday morning on a provincial road in the municipality of Nowogrodziec. Officers from the Traffic Division of the Bolesławiec Police unit stopped a driver who had hit a roadside streetlamp.
Bolesławiec police explain: – The 39-year-old resident of Bolesławiec County had over 1‰ of alcohol in his system at 10:00 and was driving a vehicle without a valid technical inspection, so the police officers seized its registration certificate.
That was not all. The officers: – It turned out that the man also did not have a driving licence, because it had been seized by officers a month earlier in connection with driving under the influence of alcohol.
The driver faces up to 3 years in prison and financial consequences.
