Hopes of keeping IV-league football in Bolesławiec are slowly fading. On Saturday, April 20, BKS’s senior team hosted Iskra Księginice at Rajska. The Bolesławiec side began the match motivated and hoping to earn points. No one could fault them for their ambition and commitment. Unfortunately, this did not translate into quality play. The hosts were unable to pose an effective threat to the visitors’ goal, although the visitors also failed to impress with their play or the accuracy of their shots.

In the first half, goalkeeper Tomasz Hajduczek, as well as the posts and crossbar, saved the Bolesławiec side from trouble. Fifteen minutes before the end of the first half, Jacek Bochnia had to leave the field. The referee decided that the BKS captain had fouled an opponent and that the offense was serious enough to warrant a red card. The decision surprised the home side. From that moment, BKS played with 10 men.

In the second half, despite several chances, the visitors were unable to hit the target of the BKS goal. After one attack, the ball struck the post. The BKS goalkeeper was also on hand to make saves. It was only in the 63rd minute that Wojciech Konefał, left unmarked by the defenders, rose to meet the ball and headed it past the BKS goalkeeper, opened the scoring. In the 77th minute, Tomiś Żmudamade it 2–0.

BKS Bolesławiec – Iskra Księginice 0–2 (0–0).
