– The duty officer at the District Police Headquarters in Zgorzelec received a report about an Audi vehicle blocking the exit from the A4 motorway. Police officers from the Road Traffic Department of the Zgorzelec unit were sent to the scene – reports Police Inspector Agnieszka Goguł, press officer for the Commander of the District Police Headquarters in Zgorzelec.
She adds: – The officers established that, for reasons that remain unclear, the driver of the Audi hit a crash barrier and left the scene. After checking the available databases, it turned out that the car had been stolen several hours earlier in Germany.
The vehicle was secured in a police parking lot; it will be returned to its owner.

Officers are carrying out activities aimed at establishing all the circumstances of the incident and apprehending people connected with the car theft.
It appears that thieves have taken a liking to Audi cars. This week, after all, we reported on an Audi abandoned at a roundabout in Osiecznica. As it turned out, that vehicle had also been stolen from our western neighbours.
