Candidates plan a complete revitalization of the Boulevard along the Bóbr River, including the construction of a year-round ice rink and a roller-skating rink. They also proposed creating family-oriented facilities, such as a mini zoo, as well as a sensory path for children with special needs. In terms of safety, they propose building roundabouts at dangerous points throughout the city. Education is another key area of interest, with proposals for a partnership between the local hospital and Wrocław University of Technology, introducing specialists into schools, and peer mediation. In terms of infrastructure, they spoke about revitalizing the Concordia building to create a congress center and a social and economic incubator. In addition, they are focusing on repairing and expanding local road infrastructure and protecting the environment.
Kamil Barczyk: “Good morning and welcome to today’s conference. Unfortunately, it is a rainy day, but we are meeting by the Bóbr River, at a place we want to change. We want to showcase new standards, new quality, and a new quality of life in Bolesławiec. Good morning, and welcome once again, everyone. Kamil Barczyk here. I am a candidate for the Lower Silesian Voivodeship assembly, from the Jelenia Góra constituency. Today’s conference will summarize the election program we are offering for the city and Bolesławiec County. Thank you very much; these are our candidates.”
Wojciech Kasprzyk: “Ladies and gentlemen, we want to present our candidates for the City Council, County Council, and the Lower Silesian Voivodeship assembly. Our candidates are the best candidates running at the local-government level. Today, each of us will briefly explain what they would like to focus on and what ideas they have for the city, county, and voivodeship. First of all, ladies and gentlemen, we are in the area of the Boulevard along the Bóbr River, which we want to completely revitalize. We want a year-round ice rink to be built here, as well as a roller-skating rink and many other interesting facilities.”
Katarzyna Bachciak-Gorzelak: “Good morning. I am a candidate for the Bolesławiec City Council, running in the third constituency. Family and children are very important to us, as is ensuring that families have places to spend time. That is why we would like to create a mini zoo, as well as other places where families can spend time and enjoy moments together. Our city currently lacks such places, hence our idea to create them.”
Jacek Maj: “In the City Council, I would like to deal with safety issues. Accidents occur very frequently along the Wróblewskiego and Dolne Młyny streets, as well as at the intersection of Cieszkowskiego and Modłowa. This should be changed; there should have been a roundabout there long ago. Thank you.”
Kinga Gęsicka-Biały: “Constituency No. 3, number one on the Third Way list. We want to build a sensory path in Bolesławiec for children with special needs.”
Bartłomiej Pankiewicz: “A candidate for the Bolesławiec County Council. St. Luke’s Hospital will become a partner of Wrocław University of Technology, where a new medical degree program is to be established. Students of the university will be able to complete internships at our hospital. Thank you.”
Krystyna Gerwatowska: “I am running for the county council, number four on the list. As my predecessor mentioned, when we talk about health education, we must also talk about general education. I would therefore like to initiate the creation of a chair for banishing bad thoughts—an optimistic chair—in Bolesławiec County, as well as a box for good thoughts and treasures, to make it easier to handle official matters. As for education, I would like to promote optimistic education and creative, optimistic solutions. Every school should have a student accessibility adviser, and a higher-education institution should be established in Bolesławiec to train these specialists: psychologists, special-education teachers, and oligophrenopedagogues. This is because the number of specialists required in schools has increased this year, and it would of course make work easier if teachers could expand their skills and gain additional qualifications locally. I also initially mentioned mediators in schools. This is a very important element because student mediators are specialists who will help children attend school more willingly and with greater optimism, right? Thank you as well.”
Wojtek Kostulski: “A Third Way candidate for the Bolesławiec City Council. We should also take care of infrastructure in the city. I am pleased to announce that talks were held yesterday with the Minister of Culture. There is a great chance of obtaining funding for the revitalization of the Concordia building, where a congress center and a social and economic incubator will be created. Vote for the Third Way.”
Mariusz Mikołajczyk: “A candidate for the county council from the Bolesławiec municipality constituency, representing PSL. In particular, I would like to focus on repairing the road in Łaziska, because that is where I come from. The next issue is sidewalks in most or all of the villages in our county, as well as environmental protection and preventing illegal rubbish dumps from appearing in the forests surrounding Bolesławiec. Thank you.”
Mariusz Potyszka: “I am a candidate for the City Council, constituency No. 4, position 1. Issues related to technology and art are certainly close to my heart. And, when all is said and done, dear friends, we are on the final stretch. On April 7, we warmly invite everyone to vote. Thank you very much.”
