For the first time, the Bolesławiec MDK is organising the National Festival of Youth Vocal Ensembles “WIELOGŁOSY”.
This is the only event of its kind in Poland, aimed exclusively at vocal ensembles (rather than solo performances).
Eight ensembles will perform in the first edition, representing, among others, Leszno, Rybnik, Bielawa, Świdnica and Bolesławiec. Our city has a strong representation: the Klaver and Emenemsy ensembles from the MDK vocal studio run by Marek Łętowski, as well as the Just Three ensemble working at PCEiKK under the direction of Aleksandra Sozańska-Kut.
The jury will include people associated with the Polish music scene:
Kasia Wilk – a vocalist whom the magazine “Machina” placed on its list of the “50 best Polish female vocalists”; we know her voice, among other works, from Sacrum and Do kiedy jestem. The artist is also an outstanding educator with extensive experience conducting vocal workshops.
Tadeusz Szarwaryn – a teacher holding the title of Honorary Professor of Education, awarded by the Minister of National Education; author of several dozen song lyrics for children and young people, he has worked for years with the European Foundation for Supporting Children’s and Young People’s Talents “Młodzi Artyści”. He has repeatedly received the Lower Silesian Education Superintendent’s Award for his educational achievements, in 2002, 2008 and 2015, as well as the Minister of National Education’s Award in 2017, and was awarded the Medal of the Commission of National Education in 2008.
Daniel Grupa – pianist, composer and arranger. For many years, he has worked with artists not only from the Polish music scene (R. Przemyk, M. Ostrowska, A. Wyszkoni, S. Soyka, P. Cugowski, Virgil Donati). Composer of music for film, theatre and radio plays. Since 2011, artistic director of the Fryderyk Chopin Music Festival in Sulechów.
