In October, during the First Lower Silesian Inbound Tourism Forum, the Lower Silesian Tourist Organization (DOT) honored Niebieski Burak hotel for its creative idea of incorporating a local legend (the legend of the blue beetroot) into its Visual Identity System (SIW), as well as for excellent reviews on international hotel websites. DOT honored 11 laureates who stand out in a special way in Lower Silesia’s tourism sector and contribute to its unique character.

The competition was open to all individuals, institutions and organizations, as well as local government bodies interested in developing tourism in the region by supporting the best tourism initiatives. The hotel was entered in the competition by its manager Jarosław Fink. “I knew that the competition was held every year,” says Fink. “And being aware of our strong brand and market position, I completed the application thoroughly, and we succeeded.”

Niebieski Burak was additionally honored with a special certificate from the Lower Silesian Tourist Organization and included in a promotional campaign. The award was accepted on behalf of her colleagues by the hotel’s owner, Barbara Alaszewska. “We are very proud, grateful and happy that Poland has recognized us as the best hotel in our region,” the owner comments on receiving the award. “I think the most important factor that built and continues to build this great success is our wonderful staff. We are truly very happy to have a team of people we can rely on, who are fully committed to providing high-quality services and running a hotel that represents a high European standard.”

The owners of Niebieski Burak work very diligently to promote the entire region and emphasize the importance of cooperation between various entities in developing tourism. Barbara Alaszewska signed an agreement with the Bolesławiec Business Association (BTG) concerning the development of new tourist routes in the county and connecting them with other interesting places in Lower Silesia and beyond Poland’s borders. “Ms Alaszewska thoroughly deserved the DOT award,” congratulates Karol Stasik, president of BTG. “No one can promote our region and show it to tourists from its most beautiful side as well as she can. In addition, Barbara Alaszewska knows how to think about tourists comprehensively. She also strives to ensure excellent accommodation and tasty regional cuisine. The Business Association derives enormous benefits from her experience and passion. Together with other tourism enthusiasts like her, we can develop our region.”
