The past several months have been marked by very intensive road investments in Bolesławiec County. As Bolesławiec County Governor Tomasz Gabrysiak reports, during this time, among other things, 13 county roads were modernized and reconstructed. The total value of this comprehensive project is more than PLN 14.5 million, of which the funding obtained by the County through the Polish Deal amounted to more than PLN 13.8 million.
The county government modernized, among others, roads in the city of Bolesławiec, such as Staroszkolna Street, Staszica Street and Gdańska Street.
It is worth emphasizing that, as part of the ambitious road investment aimed at modernizing Staszica Street in Bolesławiec, Bolesławiec County opted for modern traffic safety solutions.
One of the key elements of this project is the new traffic light installed at the intersection of Staszica and Góralska streets, intended to improve traffic flow and the safety of road users.

The new traffic lights are the result of expanding the material scope of the project, which Bolesławiec County decided to include in the modernization works after receiving information from estate residents and reviewing observations and measurements carried out by the County Roads Authority in Bolesławiec.
The traffic lights installed at the intersection are modern in many respects. In addition to standard functions, such as traffic signals for drivers and pedestrians, the installation has an audible signaling system.
– The new traffic lights are not only a technological step forward, but above all an improvement in road safety. Reducing the risk of accidents and improving the flow of vehicles are benefits that Bolesławiec residents will feel every day as they enjoy modern road infrastructure – emphasizes County Governor Tomasz Gabrysiak.
Great news for all cycling enthusiasts is that a pedestrian and bicycle path has been built on Kosiby Street in Bolesławiec, up to the intersection in Łaziska.
However, the county government did not forget about other municipalities. In the municipality of Nowogrodziec, a sidewalk was built in Zebrzydowa, and two roads were reconstructed in Gościszów, including the section leading to the county boundary.
In the municipality of Gromadka, the county road on the Osła–Gromadka section and the important Sikorskiego Street in Gromadka were reconstructed.
In the municipality of Bolesławiec, a road in Lipiany and the intersection in Kraśnik Dolny were reconstructed. (The sidewalk was not forgotten either.) The road connecting the two municipalities of Bolesławiec and Warta Bolesławiecka was also modernized. This is the road between Kraśnik Górny and Szczytnica.
That is not all. The County obtained funding from the Government Roads Development Fund for further important road investments:
- renovation of the Gierałtów–Godzieszów county road,
- renovation of the Krzyżowa–Różyniec county road,
- reconstruction of the county road in Wierzbowa.
The first two have been completed. As for the last one, the tender has already been decided and the contract will be signed soon.
