District officers from the District Police Headquarters in Bolesławiec stopped two people for a roadside check who may have got behind the wheel under the influence of drugs. The officers said: “The first to be tested with a drug test was a 28-year-old man from the Warta Bolesławiecka commune. The officers’ suspicions were confirmed—the result was positive.
They added: “On another street in the town, district officers checked a vehicle driven by a 28-year-old woman. In this case, the officers also suspected that the resident of the Nowogrodziec commune might be under the influence of prohibited substances. The drug test result was conclusive.
They concluded:
If laboratory tests confirm the presence of narcotic substances in the drivers, they face up to 3 years in prison, long-term loss of their driving licences and financial consequences.
