Our pre-election poll received more than one thousand votes. The survey lasted only four days. It clearly indicates that there will be a runoff. Piotr Roman received 43% of the votes. If our poll result is confirmed in the official vote, it will mean that the current president’s popularity has fallen by several percentage points—as four years ago Piotr Roman won more than 49% of the votes in the first round.
According to the poll, either Dariusz Kwaśniewski or Bogusław Nowak may enter the second round against Roman. During the survey, both candidates consistently had a similar level of support. However, it seems to us that Nowak’s result is somewhat overstated, because the poll was conducted immediately after his supporters were humiliated on internet forums following problems with registering the list. It is possible that this mobilized Nowak’s supporters to express their opinion in the poll.
On November 21, the residents of Bolesławiec will choose from among eight candidates. Running for the office of president of Bolesławiec are: Dominik Chodyra, Irena Dul, Dariusz Jancelewicz, Józef Król, Grzegorz Kunecki, Dariusz Kwaśniewski, Bogusław Nowak and Piotr Roman.
We encourage everyone to take part in the vote and support their candidate.
