She wrote to us, a reader:

The wind blows, and the bags brought for replacement fly all over Nowogrodziec; at my place, [pracownicy] they damaged a private bin, tore off the bin lid and did not inform me about it.

She added:

I wrote an email, but of course I received no reply. I sent a photo and called; at first no one answered, and later I was told that my case had been forwarded. Finally, today (5 March – istotne.pl’s note istotne.pl), after seven days, I received a call saying that they would bring me the bin on Friday after all.

She also stressed: – The ZGiUK men do not respect anything; they throw the bins around, often do not put them back in their places, and leave them in the middle of the entrance road (…). But they are the first to collect money for rubbish.

The company in question informs:

(...) I hereby inform you that on 27 February 2024, a report was received from Ms (...) concerning the situation. After speaking with our employees, it was established that the bin lid had broken off due to material wear, rather than as a result of deliberate and intentional action. Therefore, steps were taken to replace the bin. On 5 March 2024, Ms (...) was informed by email and telephone that the bin would be replaced with a new one on 8 March 2024. During the conversation, the lady was very polite, and nothing indicated that the petitioner was dissatisfied. The reported problem was deemed resolved.

It adds: – Employees have been informed and reminded of their obligation to put bins back in their proper places and leave bags in the appropriate locations. At the same time, I would like to inform you that we respond to every report we receive. Please report any irregularities on an ongoing basis.

As Andrzej Drąg, deputy mayor of Gmina Nowogrodziec, Andrzej Drąg assured us:

There are cases of residents’ complaints; we always respond.
