– Last Sunday, Polkowice police officers were placed on alert. The emergency call to duty was connected with a gruesome discovery in Chocianów. The body of a 62-year-old woman with a cut wound to her neck was found in one of the apartments – reports asp. Przemysław Rybikowski, press officer of the District Police Headquarters in Polkowice.

From the beginning of their activities, supervised by the District Prosecutor’s Office in Lubin, the police did not rule out the involvement of third parties. The evidence collected in the case made it possible to identify a person who, in the officers’ view, was connected with the incident described.
A 20-year-old resident of Chocianów was arrested later that same day. Importantly, he had intended to leave Polkowice County.
Spokesperson: – Ultimately, the evidence gathered by the police enabled investigators to charge the detainee with murder. At this stage of the investigation, the man has confessed to the crime.
The court in Lubin ordered the suspect to be held in pre-trial detention for three months. The man could face life imprisonment.
