The investigation conducted by officers of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Bolesławiec District Police Headquarters under the supervision of the local District Prosecutor’s Office has concluded with an indictment. The case concerns drug-related crime; two people were arrested. Bolesławiec District Police Headquarters: – During the operations, police officers seized more than 6,500 retail doses of drugs.

The first person was arrested back in September 2023. During a search of places used by a 27-year-old man from the Nowogrodziec municipality, Bolesławiec detectives seized more than 5,500 retail doses of methamphetamine and marijuana.

Officers: – The arrested man was placed in custody for three months fairly quickly; however, the evidence collected in the case provided sufficient grounds to extend his detention for further months.

Intensive and highly detailed investigative work led to the arrest in October 2023 of the suspect’s accomplice. He turned out to be a 32-year-old resident of Zgorzelec County who obtained significant quantities of narcotic substances and then distributed them. The police headquarters: – A search of the home and vehicle used by the resident of Zgorzelec County resulted in the seizure of more than 1,000 doses of methamphetamine and marijuana.

Questioning more than 40 people and securing various items of evidence provided sufficient grounds to bring the suspects a total of 24 charges. The officers:

Based on an analysis of the evidence collected, investigators proved that both arrested men had supplied drugs for financial gain and possessed significant quantities of narcotic substances. To make matters worse, the 32-year-old resident of Bolesławiec County was also charged with participating in the trafficking of a significant quantity of drugs.

And they conclude:

To secure potential future penalties against both men, property security was imposed in the form of a car and cash held by the suspects.

Possession of significant quantities of drugs and supplying narcotic substances for financial gain is punishable by up to 10 years in prison. Participation in the trafficking of a significant quantity of narcotic substances is punishable by up to 12 years in prison.
