If you love your garden;
or are just planning to create a garden next to your home;
or perhaps you have no idea how to make changes to your green space;
and—in general—if you love spending time in beautiful, natural surroundings, come to the library!
Miejska Biblioteka Publiczna – Centrum Wiedzy invites you to take part in a series of meetings entitled “Live in the Garden.”
Once a week, we will meet with landscape architects—practitioners with experience in creating and maintaining green spaces.
Each participant will gain a solid dose of knowledge, the opportunity to receive practical advice, as well as materials containing the topics discussed during the meetings and “gardening” gifts.
The series will open with a meeting featuring an exceptional personality!
On February 22, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. at Miejska Biblioteka Publiczna – Centrum Wiedzy (5 B. Głowackiego Street), we will talk with Professor Alina Drapella-Hermansdorfer, an architect and associate professor at the Faculty of Architecture of Wrocław University of Science and Technology.
The professor is a co-author of, among other projects, Park Tysiąclecia, the concept for the Chinese Garden and Mamut Park in Wrocław. She helped establish the landscape architecture program at the Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences, was the first editor-in-chief of the journal “Landscape Architecture,” and is a member of the Council for Ecology and Greenery advising the Mayor of Wrocław.
The meeting with the professor is open to all; registration is required for the educational sessions in the following weeks, by calling: 75 612 13 80 or 75 612 13 88.
