As we have already reported, a disturbance broke out during an alcohol-fueled party in Bolesławiec on Lipowa Street on Sunday night into Monday. Several people were probably involved in the fight. One man, Przemysław, is dead.

“Tomorrow, his brother will identify the body. An autopsy will take place afterward,” one person tells us.

We managed to speak with neighbors who live in the building where the drinking party took place.

“I heard them throwing him around the apartment. Against the furniture, against everything. Those people, everyone who was there, they are all guilty. Because one person could have helped, another person could have helped, not: ‘I was drunk,’ ‘I was this, I was that.’ They are all guilty; they should all face the consequences,” says a witness to the nighttime disturbance.

“On Friday, one neighbor called the police; on Saturday too, as far as I heard, the police were called, and on Sunday, before this tragedy, they were called again. So, three days in a row. Disturbances were constantly happening here, and they were constantly partying every weekend. They did not let the neighbors sleep or live in peace; people kept coming to them all the time. It was simply one huge den,” adds a woman who lives in the same building.

According to our unofficial information, the police intervened at least once at the location of the disturbance on the fateful night.

The deceased man’s family will check the times when the disturbances were reported and when interventions were undertaken, to determine whether the services had time to react and whether Przemysław’s death could have been prevented.

People are also unofficially saying that the suspect was released from custody. Unfortunately, we cannot confirm this information because the police are not providing any information, while prosecutor Sebastian Woźniak cannot find time to speak with us and, through the secretariat, says that he will not provide information to any journalist today.

Update: 2024-01-31 11:15

A 25-year-old man was remanded in custody for three months on suspicion of the murder that took place in an apartment on Lipowa Street in Bolesławiec. The tragedy occurred during an alcohol-fueled party where an argument broke out. After being struck once by another participant, the 25-year-old began punching and kicking a 45-year-old man until he lost consciousness and subsequently died. The man was charged with murder and faces a minimum sentence of 10 years in prison.

Investigators determined that the partygoers attempted resuscitation, provided first aid to the beaten man and called an ambulance. Przemysław G. most likely died while some of the partygoers were trying to save him. However, an expert will determine the details. The autopsy is scheduled to take place later this week.

Roman R., the man who struck the victim only once, was charged with violating bodily integrity. According to the findings, he did not repeat his attack; on the contrary, he tried to stop the main aggressor from making further attacks on the victim. R. was placed under police supervision, banned from contacting witnesses to the incident and prohibited from leaving the country.

Earlier, both suspects—Roman R. and Mateusz K.—had jointly beaten the owner of the apartment where the ill-fated drinking party took place.

K., who was remanded in custody, had also previously been charged with forcing someone to perform specified acts through an unlawful threat.
