According to Bolesławiec police, the left lane of the A18 is now open. The entire motorway is expected to be cleared within an hour.

According to police findings, a truck crashed into a stationary road service vehicle. Both drivers were sober. The driver of the passenger car, a 37-year-old man, was airlifted by the Polish Medical Air Rescue Service to hospital. Officers reported:
The A18 toward Wrocław is blocked. Police are working at the scene to clear the left lane and restore traffic on this section of the A18 as quickly as possible.
Detour via Osiecznica and Bolesławiec; enter the A18 at Golnice.
The incident occurred on Friday, January 26, after 9:00 a.m., on the A18 motorway (at kilometer 62, toward Wrocław).
Two vehicles collided there: a truck and a passenger car. One person was injured, seriously. An LPR helicopter flew in for the injured person.
