The facility under construction is now more than just swimming pools—it is a place for relaxation and fun for people of every age group. – The outlines of the pools are already emerging from the ground, with each one dedicated to a different age group and different users – says Bolesławiec Mayor Piotr Roman.
The project includes pools divided by age group:
- sensory pool – children aged 0–3;
- water playground – zoned, for children aged 0–3 and 4–7;
- recreational pool – children aged 8 and over;
- recreational pool – Wet Bubble (a soft vinyl dome installed in the pool, with water flowing down from it and a water mushroom at the top) – children aged 8 and over.
The space around the pools has been designed to enable parental supervision, with rest areas for the carers of the youngest users. The recreational pool is to be the main attraction of the outdoor pool complex. It will feature floor geysers, water cannons and cascades. A multifunctional slide, rope climbing equipment, a carousel and a water swing are also planned, along with zones that can be arranged for water volleyball, water basketball, aerobics, 25-metre swimming lanes and a rope crossing.
City officials:
The aim of the project is to create a new zone of recreational pools and water playgrounds, complemented by a leisure pool. An important premise of the pool complex is the creation of an attractive, partially sail-shaded pool with heated brine water, making it possible to extend the summer season.
They add:
The roof structure of the restaurant building under construction is already visible, while nearby buildings housing ticket offices, changing-room and sanitary facilities, and the technological and technical section are taking shape. At this stage, a complex of multifunctional sports fields, public parking areas for passenger cars, and bicycle stands is also planned. All zones will be accessible to people with disabilities.
Construction of the water park is scheduled to be completed in June this year.
