As reported by Bolesławiec City Hall:
- Last year, 495 birth certificates were drawn up (95 fewer than the previous year). Of these, 115 registrations concerned children born abroad.
- For the first time in a long while, more boys than girls were born in Bolesławiec (196 boys and 184 girls).
What are the most popular names in the City of Ceramics?
Parents most often chose the name Zuzanna for their daughters. Other popular names were Julia, Oliwia, Maja and Nadia. For boys, the name Nikodem remains fashionable. Parents also chose the names Aleksander, Igor, Antoni, Filip and Leon.
The number of children of foreign nationals is rising. Last year there were 75 of them, including 62 Ukrainian children.
How many marriages?
The number of marriages contracted fell slightly. In 2023, the Bolesławiec office drew up 254 marriage certificates (31 fewer than in 2022), including 43 marriages contracted abroad.
A total of 137 couples had a civil wedding (including 7 couples who chose an outdoor ceremony), while 67 couples opted for a church wedding. Most wedding ceremonies took place during the summer months, from June to September.
How many divorces?
Last year, slightly fewer divorces were recorded: 115 (9 fewer than the previous year).
How many deaths?
A total of 683 death certificates were drawn up (44 fewer deaths than in 2022), including 23 people who died outside Poland.
Moreover, the Bolesławiec Civil Registry Office organized 5 ceremonies to present the “Medals for Long Marital Life” to 14 couples.
