Roman Kowalczyk, Lower Silesian education superintendent and Law and Justice politician, was dismissed by the new head of the education ministry in the government of Donald Tusk.

As OKO.press reported in mid-December:

The dismissal of all 16 education superintendents is one of the first tasks of the new Minister of Education, Barbara Nowacka. On Wednesday, December 13, she announced that “changes will come very quickly, in the coming days.” The aim is to depoliticize key institutions. Officials appointed by Law and Justice will lose their positions, led by the Małopolska education superintendent, Barbara Nowak.

The website tuwroclaw.com reports in turn:

Roman Kowalczyk has never concealed his political sympathies. He is an activist of Law and Justice. He even ran on the party’s lists in the latest elections to the Sejm, but unsuccessfully. He had been the education superintendent in Lower Silesia since 2016.
