Members and supporters of Civic Platform met on Thursday to officially launch the campaign. The candidate for the Lower Silesian Voivodeship Regional Assembly – Waldemar Krajewski, the candidate for mayor of Nowogrodziec – Krzysztof Jakubowicz, and the candidate for president of Bolesławiec – Dariusz Kwaśniewski – were presented. Each of them briefly explained why they were running and what they wanted to achieve.
Karol Stasik, chairman of the county Civic Platform structures, praised the candidates for council seats. “We did not have to fill the lists by rounding people up. We mainly turned to our members. They are good and dedicated candidates. We have very good lists, and we will win these elections,” Karol Stasik assured attendees at the inaugural meeting.
Eighty-four people are running for the city and county councils from Civic Platform lists.
