Officers from the police station in Nowogrodziec found stolen property in a wooded area. Police: – Locating the thief’s hideout made it possible to recover scaffolding worth PLN 15,000. A man suspected of committing the crime in the Osiecznica municipality was also arrested.

The 36-year-old entered the company premises under cover of night. First, he dismantled and stole scaffolding, carried it into the forest and covered it with leaves. He then returned to the same place and stole two reels of new cables with a total length of one kilometre. The wires, worth PLN 7,000, were helped to be transported the following day by a helpful friend.
The thief did not manage to take the scaffolding because police officers thwarted his plans.
The Bolesławiec resident had previously been convicted of property crimes, so he now faces up to 7.5 years in prison for the theft.
