A reader sent us a photo on 17 November with the following note:
A charger for 2 electric vehicles will be built in the car park near Kaufland.
We asked for details. The Press Office of Kaufland Polska Markety said:
One of the priorities of Kaufland’s sustainable development strategy is climate protection. To support zero- and low-emission transport, we are gradually installing electric vehicle charging stations in the car parks of our stores. They are currently available at 19 of our stores in Poland: in Bełchatów (2 Świętej Faustyny Kowalskiej Street), Bielsko-Biała (81 Generała Andersa Avenue), Gdynia (82 Morska Street), Kraków (4 Bratysławska Street and 16A Osiedle Kombatantów), Opole (4B Budowlanych Street), Piaseczno (10 Okulickiego Street), Piastów (1 Warszawska Street), Płock (11 Gałczyńskiego Street), Poznań (42 Aleje Solidarności), Skawina (12 Krakowska Street), Sosnowiec (124 11 Listopada Street), Swarzędz (24 Polna Street), Szczecin (29 Andrzeja Struga Street and 7 Floriana Krygiera Street), Tychy (1 Księdza Tischnera Street), Wałcz (3 Budowlanych Street), Wrocław (62 Legnicka Street), and Zielona Góra (2 Lwowska Street).
They also added:
The stations are available to customers during our stores’ opening hours, except on Sundays and public holidays that are statutory days off work. The installation of new chargers depends on external factors and internal arrangements; nevertheless, we are striving to ensure that by the end of 2024 every Kaufland store with a car park owned by us is equipped with at least one dual-port charging station. We will provide information on all details concerning the schedule for installing chargers in Bolesławiec, their power and usage prices as the project progresses.
