The incident occurred on Saturday, November 4, on the road between Legnica and Jaroszówka. – The driver of an Opel, travelling towards Chojnów, hit the rear of a cyclist who was travelling in the same direction – reports Commissioner Jagoda Ekiert, press officer of the Municipal Police Headquarters in Legnica.
She adds: – Unfortunately, as a result of the incident, the cyclist died at the scene.
The Opel driver was sober. The prosecutor’s office and police are investigating the causes and circumstances of the tragedy. The latter:
We appeal to drivers and other road users to exercise particular caution while driving. Fatigue, lack of concentration and poor visibility during the autumn and winter period are factors that can lead to very serious road incidents. Remember to slow down and exercise the utmost caution so that unnecessary tragedies do not occur on our roads.
