The end of the pre-election price miracle at fuel stations in Bolesławiec. From mid-October to 4 November, the prices per litre of 95-octane petrol and diesel at the Orlen fuel station on Zgorzelecka Street in Bolesławiec rose significantly.

In the case of 95-octane petrol, the increase has already amounted to 58 groszy. In the case of diesel, it was 75 groszy. Fuel is becoming more expensive gradually, sometimes from one day to the next, sometimes every 2–3 days... Interestingly, as prices rose, the problems with fuel availability and reports of dispenser failures also came to an end.

These were the fuel prices at the Orlen station on Zgorzelecka Street in Bolesławiec on 4 November:

  • Pb 95 – PLN 6.54
  • ON – PLN 6.68
  • LPG – PLN 3.14

According to some economists, before the election the price of fuel was artificially lowered by approximately PLN 1.20 per litre. After the election, a return to market prices began. According to forecasts, by mid-November petrol prices will approach PLN 7 per litre, while diesel prices will exceed PLN 7.

Meanwhile, at the end of October, Orlen issued a statement saying that the company would continue its stabilisation policy and that fluctuations in fuel prices were caused by global instability:

Orlen will continue its stabilisation policy, seeking to limit fluctuations in fuel prices caused by the instability of the geopolitical and economic situation around the world. From the consumers’ point of view, what matters most is that the company will continue striving to ensure that retail prices in Poland remain among the lowest in Europe.
