On the night of 28–29 October, Poland will switch from summer time to winter time. The clock hands will be moved from 3:00 to 2:00.
– PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe S.A. is prepared to ensure the smooth operation of train services during the time change – says Magdalena Janus from the press team of PKP PLK.
She adds:
A special timetable has been prepared for the time change. Due to the clocks being turned back from 3:00 to 2:00 on the night of 28–29 October, trains running at around 3:00 will stop for approximately 60 minutes at the nearest station, and then continue their journey.
The result? Arrival times at the final destinations will not change. The spokesperson says: – Trains departing according to the new time on Sunday, 29 October, will run in accordance with the current timetable.
She clarifies:
The stop will affect 25 passenger trains travelling on the PLK S.A. railway network at the time of the change – 13 PKP Intercity trains, 2 RegioJet trains, 4 Koleje Mazowieckie trains, 1 Koleje Śląskie train, 1 SKPL Cargo train, 2 PKP Szybka Kolej Miejska w Trójmieście trains and 2 POLREGIO trains.
