– Last Saturday, after 9:00 p.m., officers from the Municipal Police Headquarters in Legnica were called to a traffic accident at the exit from the S3 expressway onto the A4 motorway – reports junior asp. Anna Tersa from the Legnica police.
She adds: – As it turned out at the scene, the 53-year-old resident of Lubin failed to adjust his speed to the road conditions and lost control of the vehicle on a bend, then crashed into crash barriers separating the traffic lanes.
The man was travelling alone. He was drunk; he had 1.5 per mille of alcohol in his exhaled breath. The spokesperson said:
Due to the injuries he sustained, he was taken to hospital.
Now, under the Criminal Code, the irresponsible 53-year-old faces up to two years in prison and a driving ban.
