As reported by the Bolesławiec County Police Headquarters, from Friday to Sunday traffic police seized 14 registration certificates:
In 7 cases, the vehicles had not undergone technical inspections, while in the remaining cases they were in improper technical condition.
The officers explain: – To be allowed to drive their cars again, the drivers must undergo technical inspections or repair the defects that led to the registration certificate being seized. Failing to have a valid technical inspection may result in a fine of up to PLN 5,000.
Moreover, two intoxicated drivers were detained over the past weekend. A 26-year-old with nearly 2 per mille of alcohol in his system crashed into the embankment of a roundabout in the Nowogrodziec municipality. The Headquarters said: – A very similar incident occurred involving an intoxicated female driver at a roundabout in Bolesławiec. The 37-year-old was detained thanks to the intervention of other road users.
