For the first time, the Equality March will pass through the streets of Bolesławiec on 22 October. It will be the first march in the new post-election political reality by people who say YES to equality for citizens—women and men—in Poland and the European Union. The march will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Asnyka Street (by Orka) and proceed through the Market Square toward the viaduct. After the march, everyone is invited to a free Family Picnic under the viaduct. We will have free food (grilled sausages, cookies, doughnuts) and drinks (juices, water, etc.) for you.

March route: START Asnyka Street (Orka) 2:00 p.m. • Sierpnia ’80 Street • Market Square • Prusa Street • Zgorzelecka Street • Dolne Młyny Street • Bolesławiec Viaduct FINISH.

Since Bolesławiec received the Council of Europe’s highest award this year, among other things for its openness, we are marching under the slogan “We live in Europe, Europe is within us.” Below is an interview with Carmen Leyte, who visited Bolesławiec to take part in the ceremony at which the city was presented with the Europe Prize.

The event is organised by the boleslawianie.eu association. The March is held under the patronage of the Representation of the European Commission in Poland.
