– This dangerous situation, which could have threatened health and life, could have been avoided if the 30-year-old woman from Wałbrzych, who did not have a driving licence, had simply not got behind the wheel and had not driven to the parking lot on Długa Street in Wałbrzych – comments commissioned officer Marcin Świeży, press officer of the Wałbrzych Municipal Police Headquarters.

He adds: – When the woman was beside the car, the three-year-old child who was inside the vehicle climbed over to the driver’s seat and turned the ignition key. At that moment, the car suddenly moved forward and pinned the 30-year-old woman with its right side against a barrier beside the parking-lot lamp.

He further explains: – The police officers were deeply shocked when they heard the irresponsible woman from Wałbrzych’s explanations. Ultimately, they prepared procedural documentation concerning the incident. The court will now decide the woman’s fate.

Police:

On the occasion of this incident, we remind everyone that anyone who gets behind the wheel is responsible not only for their own safety, but also for the lives and health of other road users. Let us remember to drive in accordance with the regulations and comply with the restrictions imposed by law; if we do not have the required licence, we simply should not get behind the wheel.
