– We have reached the end of our election campaign, a campaign that was a war for many, while for us and our candidates it was a pleasure to talk to people. It was a campaign conducted with energy and freshness, and we would like to sincerely thank everyone for that. The most important elections are ahead of us, elections in which we will decide our future – says Krzysztof Maj, leader of the Nonpartisan Local Government Representatives’ list for the Sejm in constituency no. 3.

In their election platform, the Nonpartisan representatives presented a range of systemic solutions that could make Poland a safe, modern and citizen-friendly country. “A Normal Poland” is a slogan that includes, among other things, free urban and regional public transport, free and healthy meals for all pupils at schools, and PIT-0 for everyone, meaning the abolition of personal income tax. The latter proposal would give Poles approximately 15 percent higher earnings.

– We will introduce free, efficient urban and regional public transport. Such transport already exists in many Polish cities: Bełchatów, Bolesławiec and Kalisz. We want to introduce it throughout Poland, because efficient public transport means fewer traffic jams and less smog – says Gaja Tyralska, the Nonpartisan Local Government Representatives’ candidate for the Senate in constituency no. 7.

That is not all, however. The Nonpartisan Local Government Representatives’ platform contains specific proposals in many other areas of the everyday lives of Polish women and men that require change today. One example is statutory regulation enabling the treatment of rare diseases to be financed directly from the state budget. The education system also urgently needs reform, with local governments given more powers. This would make it possible to provide psychological care for young people and improve teachers’ pay.

– We will work to shorten waiting lists for doctors. We will finance the treatment of rare diseases. We will train new healthcare workers to provide complete, professional care – says Joanna Rosińczuk, the Nonpartisan Local Government Representatives’ candidate for the Sejm, number 10 in constituency no. 3.

– We propose child- and youth-friendly education that is depoliticized and keeps pace with the changing world. We propose healthy, free meals for children and young people, as well as an education voucher that children and teachers will be able to use – says Barbara Kosterska, fourth on the Nonpartisan Local Government Representatives’ list for the Sejm in constituency no. 3.

Above all, the Nonpartisan representatives call for action to end the polarization of society. The Polish-Polish war leads to unnecessary conflicts and paralyzes the efficient functioning of the state. A normal Poland is a country that is safe, economically and militarily strong, able to define its national interest and protect it.

– Ladies and gentlemen, the election is this coming Sunday; let us meet at the ballot boxes. If you do not know whom to vote for, simply vote for a normal Poland. Vote for our proposals, for Poland to be normal and friendly. So that we can talk to one another, just as we do – appeals Sylwia Korczyńska, the Nonpartisan Local Government Representatives’ candidate, number 3 on the list for the Sejm in constituency no. 3.

In recent weeks, the Nonpartisan Local Government Representatives have consistently been building their support and gaining the trust of future voters. Monday’s election debate organized by Telewizja Polska was undoubtedly a turning point. The Nonpartisan candidate, Krzysztof Maj, attracted viewers’ interest during the debate, and his first and last name became the most frequently searched phrase online among all debate participants.

Nonpartisan Local Government Representatives is a movement bringing together, among others, experienced representatives of local governments, non-governmental organizations and entrepreneurs. In the 2018 local elections, they won nearly one million votes, representing support of more than 5 percent nationwide. In the current parliamentary elections, the Nonpartisan representatives are running for the first time as a nationwide committee. In recent weeks, they have consistently been building support among voters. In some regions, polls give them more than 8 percent support (Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship).
