A reader and resident of Gościszów contacted the istotne.pl editorial team. The problem concerns a dirty road in the town. Cars leaving a construction site, where a commercial and service building is being constructed, leave mud and other debris behind. According to the reader, no one cleans it up. In addition, the reader believes that, due to the heavy truck traffic near the construction site, warning signs should be installed for other drivers.
The reader wrote:
I am asking for help on behalf of the residents of Gościszów. A new road, and this is what it looks like. Since morning, trucks have been leaving the construction site, bringing aggregate/crushed stone and concrete. No one cares that a layer of mud, sand and stones is lying on the road. We understand that they are building and have to enter and leave the site. But with this amount of mud, they should remove it on an ongoing basis.
The police claim that they have the right to do so and that they should clean up after work. Some signs would also be useful. The road authority will deal with this on Monday because they finish work at 3 p.m.
Let us remind you that such matters are regulated by the Code of Petty Offenses, which provides for a fine, among other things, for polluting a public road—for example, by agricultural vehicles leaving fields or heavy vehicles leaving a construction site.
Code of Petty Offenses:
Article 91. Anyone who pollutes a public road or leaves a vehicle, another object or an animal on that road under circumstances in which this may cause danger or obstruct road traffic is subject to a fine of up to PLN 1,500 or a reprimand.
