As stated on the Facebook profile of Komendy Powiatowej Państwowej Straży Pożarnej w Bolesławcu:
On October 6, 2023, at 8:21 p.m., the duty officer at the command center of the District Fire Service Commander in Bolesławiec received a report of a fire in an abandoned building in Tomaszów Bolesławiecki. Upon arriving at the scene, the fire crews found the roof fully ablaze, while adjacent farm buildings were also at risk of catching fire.
Firefighting operations were conducted using two aerial ladders. Strong winds hampered efforts to extinguish the fire and carried sparks to other buildings. No one was injured in the fire. Firefighting operations lasted more than 11 hours.
The property consists of a palace, a manor house and seven farm buildings belonging to the former estate: stables and cowsheds. After World War II, the site belonged to a state agricultural farm (PGR).
