On Wednesday, October 4, in the evening, information about dispenser failures appeared at the PKN Orlen fuel stations in Bolesławiec on Zgorzelecka Street and Tysiąclecia Avenue. It was not possible to refuel with diesel. At the station on Zgorzelecka Street, it was not possible to refuel with efecta diesel or verva diesel. At the Tysiąclecia Avenue station, efecta diesel was unavailable.
Notices reading “We apologize, dispenser failure” were attached to the dispensers for these fuels. This is the official statement, but information has appeared in the media and among drivers themselves that, in fact, because of low fuel prices (during the pre-election period), people are stockpiling fuel out of fear that prices will rise immediately after the elections. Increased demand is causing temporary fuel shortages.
