We received information about Kamionka in Raciborowice from a reader:
This charming recreational spot for the local residents of Raciborowice—a flooded limestone quarry—serves them as a bathing area* (including winter swimming), a fishing spot, and a place for Enduro fans to ride up and down steep slopes.
What's more, they bought several trailer-loads of yellow sand from Kaolin Nowogrodziec with their own money and spread it over the beach they had created, equipping it with a bench and frames for rubbish bags. To this day, the most dedicated among them clean up rubbish left by some careless visitors, replace the bags and, in cooperation with the PSZOK, take away the full ones. Respect and praise are due to them.
