Man suffers sudden cardiac arrest. Witnesses and emergency services save him

As firefighters from OSP Krzyżowa report:

On September 29, 2023, at 5:23 p.m., we were dispatched to a driver who had become unwell and crashed into a petrol station at LSSE OSŁA. We set out within 2.5 minutes of the alarm!

While travelling to the scene, we received information that the man had suffered a sudden cardiac arrest. Upon arriving at the scene, together with OSP KSRG RÓŻYNIEC, we took over resuscitation efforts from witnesses and the police.

Our task was to perform CPR using our AED, which delivered a defibrillation shock, and to secure the scene. Shortly afterwards, a unit from JRG BOLESŁAWIEC also arrived and continued CPR together with us.

Thanks to the efforts of the firefighters and the emergency medical team, the injured person regained vital functions and was transported to hospital. The witnesses who immediately began first-aid efforts and performed resuscitation deserve tremendous applause.
