Our exceptionally talented hurdler, Vanessa Michaluk, was one of the stars of the competition. On the very first day, she won the gold medal in the 300 m hurdles, recording an incredible time of 43.53 seconds and setting a new personal best. But that was not all! On Sunday, in the qualifying round of the 80 m hurdles, she achieved a phenomenal time of 11.31 seconds, breaking her own Polish record. In the final, she performed even better, completing the race in 11.30 seconds and winning a second gold medal.

Our other athletes also gave it their all, performing at the level of their personal bests:

  • Nikola Sztandera recorded a time of 13.29 seconds in the 100 m PK race (outside the competition), while her clubmate, Lena Burdzy, completed the same distance in 13.40 seconds. The girls finished 5th and 9th, respectively.
  • Małgorzata Stec finished 9th in the triple jump with a new personal best of 10.97 m, while in the long jump she landed at 5.07 m to finish 11th.
  • Eliza Psiuch cleared 155 cm in the high jump, finishing 10th.
  • Dawid Barański finished 14th in both the high jump and the combined events, achieving 166 cm and 11.64 m, respectively.

Although an error during the first leg eliminated our 4×100 m relay team from the medal race, we are still extremely proud of our athletes’ achievements.

It should be noted that Małgorzata Stec and Dawid Barański are in the younger age group and will compete in the same category again next year. This is just a preview of even greater successes in the future!

Międzyszkolny Klub Sportowy Bolesłavia took third place in the Polish medal standings. This is an extraordinary achievement that demonstrates our potential and determination. Congratulations to all the athletes and coaches on these fantastic results!
