St. Łukasz Hospital received a grant from the Medical Fund of the Ministry of Health to implement the investment program “Supporting emergency medical infrastructure by equipping the Hospital Emergency Department and the Diagnostic Imaging Department at the Healthcare Centre in Bolesławiec.” The grant amounts to PLN 14,951,000, while the total investment value is PLN 20,000,000. A total of 207 grant applications were assessed. Following the competition assessment, 152 applications were selected. St. Łukasz Hospital in Bolesławiec ranked a highly scored 14th.
The funding obtained will allow the Hospital Emergency Department and diagnostic laboratories to be equipped with specialist equipment, including a new computed tomography scanner, X-ray machine, ultrasound machine, ECG machine, impedance tomography device, pneumatic tube system and videolaryngoscopes.
As part of the investment, a third MRI scanner will also be purchased, which will shorten the waiting time for examinations, and a new laboratory diagnostics centre and a headquarters for emergency medical service teams will be built, improving the capacity for examinations and working conditions.
