On 14 September, an interdisciplinary team for preventing domestic violence was appointed in Bolesławiec. City Hall officials: – Cooperation and the exchange of information between various institutions and organizations working in the field of preventing violence, and consequently the creation of interdisciplinary cooperation, play an important role in carrying out tasks related to preventing domestic violence.

- Katarzyna Rzeszowska, representative of the Regional Hospital for the Nervously and Mentally Ill in Bolesławiec;

The City Hall adds:
The tasks of the interdisciplinary team include creating conditions enabling the implementation of tasks related to preventing domestic violence, as well as integrating and coordinating activities, including:
- diagnosing the domestic violence problem at the local level;
- initiating preventive, educational and informational activities aimed at preventing domestic violence and entrusting their implementation to the appropriate entities;
- initiating activities concerning people experiencing domestic violence and people who use domestic violence;
- drafting a municipal programme for preventing domestic violence and protecting people experiencing domestic violence;
- disseminating information about institutions, individuals and opportunities to obtain assistance in the local community;
- appointing diagnostic and support groups and continuously monitoring the tasks they carry out;
- monitoring the “Blue Cards” procedure;
- referring a person who uses domestic violence to participate in a corrective and educational programme for people who use domestic violence or a psychological and therapeutic programme for people who use domestic violence;
- submitting, at the request of a diagnostic and support group, a notification that a person who uses domestic violence has committed the offence referred to in Article 66c of the Act of 20 May 1971 – the Code of Petty Offences (Journal of Laws of 2022, item 2151, as amended by Journal of Laws of 2022, items 2311 and 2581 and of 2023, items 535 and 803).
