The incident occurred on Sunday, 27 August, in the afternoon. Police officers from Lwówek, while patrolling the town, noticed a man riding a motocross bike. The vehicle had no registration plate.
When the officers attempted to stop the motorcyclist for a roadside check, he accelerated and began to flee. Lwówek Police Headquarters:
As a result of swift and effective action, the officers detained the rider, who turned out to be a 33-year-old resident of our municipality. He had been riding the motorcycle without the required licence; the vehicle was unregistered and did not have compulsory third-party liability insurance.
What is more, the rider himself was intoxicated: a test showed 0.8 parts per mille in his exhaled air. The 33-year-old from the Lwówek Śląski municipality will now answer for his actions in court. He faces up to five years in prison.
