Runners and accompanying persons will have Polana Jakuszycka DCS at their disposal: the start and finish will be there, along with the race-number distribution office, expo, changing rooms, catering, toilets and showers.
At DSC, you will be able to use the swimming pool and spa area, relax on sun loungers, while spectators will be able to watch the competitors’ efforts from the terraces while enjoying something delicious. You can reach the start by car, bus or train. Since December 11, 2022, trains at the Szklarska Poręba Jakuszyce stop have stopped directly in front of the entrance to the Lower Silesian Sports Centre Polana Jakuszycka.
Some information for visitors to DCS:
- At DCS, you can use the changing rooms before training and take a shower after exercising. Free toilets are also available.
- After exercising, you can recover your strength in the swimming pool.
- Remember that the bistro and restaurant offer delicious coffee and equally good meals.
- If you arrived by car, a convenient underground car park is waiting for you, but you can also reach Polana Jakuszycka by train or bus.
The Summer Piast Run is a mountain ultramarathon on a route in the Izera Mountains. The start and finish are in Jakuszyce. The route runs through a section around Kozi Grzbiet, Orle, Granicznik, the Izera River, Szklarska Droga and Jagnięcy Jar. Competitors will pass through Rozdroże Izerskie, Rozdroże pod Zwaliskiem, Wysoki Kamień, Zakręt Śmierci and Rozdroże pod Cichą Równią, as well as two routes known mainly as ski routes: Woda Mineralna and Bez Łaski. Competitors will encounter varied surfaces, with plenty of gravel and fast, fairly flat sections, considering the mountain terrain.
