On Friday, September 10, soldiers of the 23rd Silesian Artillery Brigade celebrated Land Forces Day. As part of the celebrations, military-sports competitions were held, with students from military-profile classes in Bolesławiec, Zgorzelec, Lubań, Rakowice and Złotoryja taking part. The young people competed in events including putting on protective clothing against the clock, shooting air rifles, throwing a training grenade and crossing a minefield. At the same time, a shooting competition for the cup of the commander of the 23rd Artillery Brigade was held at the garrison shooting range.

At the invitation of Colonel Jarosław Kraszewski, commander of the Brigade, the celebrations were attended by representatives of the city authorities, Bolesławiec County, neighboring counties, veterans' organizations and uniformed services, among others.

During the assembly, Colonel Kraszewski honored the soldiers who had achieved the best results in training and service, and presented diplomas and trophies to the winners of the military-sports and shooting competitions. The ceremony concluded with a soldiers' festival.

On the eve of the celebrations, a Mass was held at the Church of Saints Cyril and Methodius, celebrated by the Brigade chaplain, Sławomir Szelągowski.
