The incident occurred on Wednesday, August 9. Before 2:00 p.m., firefighters were dispatched to a fire at a hall of a disused cast-iron foundry in the town of Gromadka.
Fortunately, the fire did not spread because the building’s structure and roof covering are made of metal elements. The situation was quickly brought under control.
No one was injured. The police are establishing the causes and circumstances of the incident.
The operation involved firefighters from JRG Bolesławiec (3 units), OSP KSRG Gromadka, OSP KSRG Różyniec, OSP KSRG Krzyżowa, OSP Wierzbowa, OSP Nowa Kuźnia, the police and an emergency power service.
